Our religion education program exists to provide children
with a solid Catholic foundation rooted in morals, values,
and social awareness so that every child may live a life of
holiness amidst the challenges of modern society. Each child
is provided the needed knowledge, skills and role models
necessary to understand, practice and appreciate his/her
Catholic Faith.
The sharing of Catholic faith and beliefs are presented
through instruction in doctrine, scripture, and morality;
the experience of prayer and liturgy; role modeling Catholic
values and promoting respect and love for the Catholic
Church.

essential to the education of all students. Given a quality
foundation in art education, students at all levels will
have the opportunity to express themselves, dream and create
in order to fully realize their potential as well-rounded
individuals.
St. Mary of the Woods further believes that all students

developing creative solutions to visual and spatial problems
through the use of a variety of art and design concepts.

Music Curriculum
Music education at St. Mary of the Woods is geared
toward introducing the students to music by assisting them
in learning and applying skills that will enable them to
take an active part in music and to become perceptive and
understanding listeners. As the students experience music
fully, that is, aurally, physically, mentally, and vocally,
a sense of aesthetic satisfaction will evolve. We strive
through music education to assist the students in fulfilling
their needs for religious and personal expression so they
may realize their full potential in the future.
