The Office of Institutional Advancement will contribute to the future of St. Mary of the Woods School by researching and establishing relationships with current and future members of the St. Mary's family to ensure that the tradition of the success of St. Mary of the Woods School and its students continues throughout the 21st century. 

The advancement staff seeks to promote the mission of St. Mary of the Woods and the Spirit of the Chicago Archdiocese through the functions and services of the advancement office, namely, public relations, annual appeal, alumni programming, and student recruitment and admission. 

In guiding these programs, the advancement staff will work to assure that those associated with the St. Mary of the Woods School experience the school's core values of Faith, Family, and Tradition.

There are various ways you can make a gift to St. Mary of the Woods School

·         Gifts of cash and checks are the easiest and most common method of supporting St. Mary of the Woods School. Please make checks payable to St. Mary of the Woods School.

·         Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds: Securities are excellent ways to support the Annual Fund, particularly, if they have appreciated in value. The full market value of the stock is tax deductible, not just the original investment cost. Check with a broker about how to make this type of gift.

·         Business Gifts are also becoming popular. Businesses can give gifts of inventory, equipment, materials, services, and cash. If you own your own business, giving through your business is another way to benefit St. Mary of the Woods School and positively impact your taxes.

·         Matching Gifts: If you are an employee or a retiree of a company or corporation with a "Matching Gifts Program," a gift to the St. Mary of the Woods School Annual Fund may qualify to be matched by your company. Check with your employer for more additional information.
